Cadbury Schweppes

Cadbury Schweppes Pty Ltd, has approximately 60 suppliers and utilises around 12 per cent of Tasmania's total milk supply. Milk is obtained from across the north of the state, other than from the north east.

Milk is taken to its Burnie depot prior to concentration and transport to its Hobart factory. It produces a wide variety of chocolate products.

Cadburys is seeking controlled growth in milk utilisation of perhaps one to two per cent each year. Farmers have contracts that specify a total amount to be produced. These tend to be negotiable over time.
